Yes, I built this website with the help of AI.
But here’s the part nobody tells you: AI is only half the battle.
When I started this journey, I bought a $99 preloaded ecommerce website. The products were already there. The theme was there. Technically, I had a website.
But when I looked at it, I realized something pretty quickly.
It didn’t feel like my business.
It was generic. There were products I hadn’t chosen, descriptions I hadn’t written, apps I didn’t understand, and a whole lot of clicking around while thinking, “Okay… now what?”
Then I Started Using AI
AI became one of the tools I used to help me rebuild. It helped me brainstorm, rewrite, research, organize, improve product pages, work on SEO, think through marketing ideas, and turn rough thoughts into something I could actually use.
And yes—it made things faster.
But it didn’t magically know what I wanted.
AI Can Give You an Answer. You Still Have to Know What to Do With It.
This is the part I think gets lost when people say, “Just use AI.”
You have to learn how to explain what you’re trying to accomplish. You have to recognize when an answer doesn’t make sense. You have to ask follow-up questions. You have to say, “Nope, that’s not what I meant,” and keep going.
You have to know your customer. Your products. Your brand. Your goals.
AI can help you get there—but you still have to steer.
I didn’t type one magical prompt and wake up with VEDA & LILY CO. finished. I worked through the store piece by piece. I changed things. I learned. I made mistakes. I asked better questions. I went back and fixed things I thought were already finished.
And somewhere along the way, that generic preloaded website started becoming mine.
Then I Realized I Couldn’t Be the Only One Asking “Now What?”
That’s when this became bigger than simply rebuilding my own website.
I kept thinking about the other beginners who bought a preloaded store because it sounded like a head start—then opened the dashboard and had no idea what they were looking at.
What do I fix first? Which products should I keep? What are all these apps? How does an order actually work? How do I make this look like a real brand? And if I’m supposed to use AI… what am I even supposed to ask it?
I knew those questions because I had them too.
So I Created the Guide I Wish I Had
I took what I was learning and turned it into I Bought a Preloaded Website… Now What?! — The Store Rescue Guide + AI Toolkit.
It’s a 127-page beginner-friendly roadmap designed for the person staring at a preloaded ecommerce website thinking, “I bought it… but what do I actually do now?”
The guide walks through understanding what you bought, securing the important pieces, auditing the store, turning a generic template into your brand, deciding what products to keep, fix or hide, understanding suppliers and apps, improving SEO, getting ready to launch, and building a realistic 30-day action plan.
And because AI became such a big part of how I worked through my own store, I included an AI Prompt Vault with 18 copy-and-paste prompts to help beginners actually start the conversation.
The Biggest Thing I’ve Learned?
AI is powerful. But knowing how to use it is the superpower.
You don’t need to be a tech expert. You don’t need to understand everything on day one. And you definitely don’t need one perfect prompt.
You need to be willing to ask questions, look at the answer, keep the parts that help, challenge the parts that don’t, and continue the conversation until you get where you’re trying to go.
That’s how this website changed.
And that’s exactly why I created the guide.
